cost & how to pay
Fees
Residency Fees are dependent on the type of room and whether artists are coming with partners.
No stipends or funds for artists are currently available. We encourage you to check for local grants provided by your region or country.
Iceland, like its Nordic neighbors is considered a “high cost of living” country. Our residency, unlike most residencies in Iceland, helps to significantly lower your costs by providing transportation to and from the airport, to and from the grocery store, as well as offering far lower-than-average cost of accommodations and basic supplies. We also offset the cost of car rental by providing a residency car to insured and licensed motorists.
We provide two links below that will explain in more detail why it is so expensive to live and travel in Iceland, and the cost of living rankings—(America, Canada, and the UK are not far behind!)

Your residency fees include accommodation, studio space, electricity, heat, hot water, WiFi, and use of the residency car. (You will be responsible for petrol and insurance)
We provide linens, (towels and bedding) and staple items like soap, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher soap, bin bags and other similar items.
The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a freezer, pantry, and two refrigerators for residents’ food.
