List og Land at Laugaból Farm
An International Multidisciplinary Arts Residency
Westfjords, Iceland
List og Land at Laugaból Farm, a multidisciplinary arts residency, is located in the stunning Westfjords, close to the college town (and airport) of Isafjordur.
“List og Land” is Icelandic for “Art and Land.” We invite artists and writers in all disciplines to develop and explore their work in a setting of otherworldly beauty and solitude.
International artists of all backgrounds and disciplines are treated to a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment. Here there are no deadlines, no competition, and no outside interruptions; just the freedom to create at your own pace.
We welcome both established and emerging artists.
We offer full-group residencies of up to ten artists and writers in the months of March and November. Each of these residencies begins on the first of the month and ends on the 24th of the month. For more detailed information, click Apply and Cost.
We also offer limited residencies from April-October during which we accept two single artists or two couple artists, or any combination of these for the two available residencies. There are options as well for family residencies during this time. For more information click Cost.
Residents are responsible for their travel to Iceland. For a small fee we will provide transportation to and from the airport. For information click Cost.
Welcome Dinner will be provided on your first night, (for both meat lovers and vegans/vegetarians). After that residents will be responsible for their own meals. Our kitchen is fully equipped.
Each resident or collaborative team will be provided a comfortable room with clean linens, warm Icelandic comforters, and space to work. Towels and other similar supplies are provided. More information in (“about” and “what to bring”).
Transportation to and from the grocery will be provided to shop for food and supplies.
Our eight rooms will accommodate combinations of single or collaborative artists.
We have strong 4G and fiber optics internet. Residents are responsible for bringing their own art supplies and computers.
